(Knitting) Needles

A preliminary experiment using knitting needles in replacement of mallets on the G string and D string —>

• Partial 1 (open G)

• Partial 3 (Sounding A — D string)

• Partial 3 (Sounding D — G string)

• Partial 5 (Sounding B — G string)

Initial thoughts relating to composition:

• Recorded a second version to a click

• Experiment with using a DPA in combination with the Beyer M160 to capture more of the overtone presence
