Icicles

A preliminary exploration of a solo piece. Working title ‘Icicles’ (to be changed).

An interesting outcome from this recording related to the Layered Icicles, which may form a series of multitracked pieces of their own.

Technically, this piece is challenging to execute due to the fragility of the artifical harmonics in high thumb position. I don’t often play these particular partials in this position, however to achieve the alternation of them all in combination it is required to play them closer to the bridge (as opposed to lower down the neck).
